On 19th December, The Chyks performed a very enlightening play called ‘Just Like That’, based on the Bhagvad Geeta. The play depicting the life of Anand family, starts with the morning commotion, typical in any family. A retired soldier who has lost his purpose beyond the nation, a housewife doing habitual prayers, a CEO who is stressed out chasing worldly success, a fitness freak addicted to seeking perfection, a journalist obsessed with TRP, a student with a passion for comedy and a spiritual scientist, all come together to take us on a magical journey within ourselves. The family tries various means to find peace, like meditating together early in the morning but ends up in arguments. Then one day a guest, called Maddy comes visiting them, and witnessing their mental commotion, takes them on an insightful journey from confusion to clarity, from action to inspiration, from addiction to love. The play, covering various paths to reach the Lord, namely Karmayog, Bhaktiyog and Gyaanyog was not just a play, it was a magical experience. From Raas Leela to meditation, from a pilgrimage to Ernakulam, the birth place of Adi Shankaracharya to a debate on the Existence of God, it answered the questions of every seeker. It was the story of each one of us. It concluded with the very inspiring song “SEEK HIM”, exhorting us to seek the Lord in all our experiences of life.
