Rama Navami was celebrated with Swamini Krishnapriyanandaji delivering a talk on the significance of Ram janma, through different stories that gave reasons for Ram avataar, very interestingly. She told four different stories, explaining the roles of Naradmuni, Jay-Vijay, Ajatashatru and Manu Satarupa. She said Kashyap muni had two wives, Diti and Aditi. Diti had Kama-vasana during sandhya and gave birth to danavas, whilst Aditi gave birth to devas.

Ramnavami was celebrated in a grand manner, starting with Sundarakand Parayan, led by Swami Medhajanandaji. The whole temple was reverberating with the chanting of Sundarakand. Shodashopachara commenced from 11.30 am and concluded by 12.15 pm. About 225 people participated and partook in the mahaprasad.

Important chapters of Bhagawad Geeta were chanted by the zone’s Geeta-chanting team,
at the Prayer Meet of late Smt. Shubha Surendranath, organized by her family at Balvikas
Sangh Hall, Chembur East. Around 75 people assembled in the Hall, mostly relatives and
friends of the family. After the chanting, some bhajans were sung. The bereaved family
was grateful to the Mission and appreciated their willingness to give solace, in their hour
of grief.

Chinmaya Fine Arts celebrated its Annual Day in the temple premises, in keeping with its tradition each year. The grand function was on the auspicious day of Gudi Padva, with about 150 students of different faculties showcasing their talents, in the presence of about 250 people which included dignitaries, parents, relatives and friends.

Geeta Jnana Yagna by Swami Aparajitananda was held at Shree Krishna Temple Hall, Veera Desai Road, Andheri West. The yagna was attended by over 150 enthusiastic devotees. The topic was Bhagawad Gita Chapter 2 – Sankhya Yoga. On the first day, Swamiji gave a brief synopsis of Chapter 1 – Arjuna Vishada Yoga, to explain the circumstances that led to this enlightening conversation between Bhagawan and Arjuna. He then explained the meaning of Sankhya Yoga.
