Insights to our Sanaatan Hindu Culture were aptly showcased at the Tell Me Why Balavihar Family Summer Camp at Chinmaya Vibhooti Kolwan from 2nd - 5th May 2019. This was the 8th Family Summer camp. Helmed by Swami Swatmananda ji, Swamini Nishkalananda ji, Sevaks, Sevikas and Yuvaveers more than 500 participants experienced several aspects of our ancient culture. From Traditional Games, to Temple Run, Hindu Science Mela, Jagannath Rath Yatra, You ask Helexa answers, KBC and Talent Show campers experienced a first-hand exposure gaining much information and knowledge of our heritage.
It was a wonderful experience to conceive, plan and execute these ideas. Our team of volunteers worked for more than 4-5 months to make it happen in the true yagna spirit. We had lot of joy and happiness in the whole process and when we saw the transformation in the campers, delight and surprise and wonder and happiness...... it was worth all the hard work and sleepless nights.
The 9-12-year-old children were shown Gurudev’s clip of 3 gunas using the coffee example. They just loved it so much that they saw it twice and wanted to see it again the next day. So they saw twice again and the best part was that they memorised the whole video that by the third and fourth time they were saying it with Gurudev and it was a delight to see them fall in love with Gurudev.
