What is karma? Any action that engages the body, mind or intellect- it can be an action or a thought. Karma will always give a result. The doer has to experience it and cannot escape it.

Collective karma is a collective effort. You might not have done something directly or be aware of what is the action of the past which is creating this situation of today.

There are phenomenal forces where we have less control however our response is fully in our control. Collective karma needs us to change our ways instead of constantly justifying or rationalizing.

Sorrow is created by humans. We have to work at removing that. The Divine has no concept of sorrow. When we look at Mahabharata, Kauravas are more, Pandavas are less. You can’t use that as a reason to not stay on your path.

With specific reference to the Covid pandemic, which many are struggling to understand, focus needs to be on how to keep safe, how to respond so I can be in control and serve. Origin can be in one place but Covid spread is a collective responsibility. The chain is as strong as its weakest link. What we do affects the world and vice versa. So here, my choice and my actions play an important role. We need to be courageous and know what is the right action, and do we have the strength to go through with it?
