Swami Chinmayananda was a Pioneer who initiated many new ways to share the knowledge of Vedanta and harness the dormant potential of individuals and communities. Some of his pioneering efforts are mentioned here. The boulder on which Swami Chinmayananda was reflecting about our culture, its decline and plans to revive it, has a conch on its back and it lists a few projects and programmes that Swami Chinmayananda was first to initiate for cultural revival.

He brought the knowledge of Vedanta to the masses in a systematic way in English
Started and conducted over 500 Geeta Jnana Yagnas
Combined Knowledge and Rituals
Prescribed a systematic scheme of study for Vedanta
Made an index of the Bhagavad Geeta for daily life in English
Established an institute to train missionaries for Vedanta – Sandeepany Sadhanalaya in India and abroad
Took the Geeta to the corporate world, Army, Doctors, Architects etc.
Entered the colleges and spoke on the Geeta to the youth
Empowered women through Devi Groups and many other ways
Started grass root activities like Balavihar, Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, Study Groups, Devi Groups, Vanaprastha Sansthan globally, for the cultural awakening

Swami Chinmayananda was a Pioneer in many ways. Conch is the symbol of Awakening and pioneering efforts. On the conch you will find some of the projects and programmes that he was first to initiate. It is printed on a mirror polish stainless steel cut out.
