On this day, guided by their sevika Smt. Mangala P., Study Group members of Dosti, Wadala chanted Shri Chinmaya Ashţottara Namavali, hymn of 108 names in praise of Swami Chinmayananda. Mangalaji also spoke on Guru Stotram and the group shared its meaning. The event concluded with aarti and distribution of prasad.

The class watched a video by Pujya Gurudev on the Symbolism of Ramayan. Gurudev explained the symbolism of the Ramayan and correlated it to the rise and fall of man. The class enjoyed the wit and humor of Gurudev and have requested for more such viewings. The session concluded with a quiz on the video which in turn made the class revise their basics.

Guru Purnima Celebrations Bala Vihar Chinmaya Varashree, Matunga
Guided by Smt. Mangala P., senior Bala Vihar students of Mahima zone celebrated Guru Purnima. As an offering to Adi Guru, a competition was held in chanting Dakshinamoorthy Stotram, which was judged by Dr. Shridhar Iyer, Sanskrit teacher from Parle Tilak Vidyalaya.
