“Tell me why” - Scientific answers from Hindu Culture camp was organised by Chinmaya
Mission Mumbai from May 2 to May 5, 2019 at Chinmaya Vibhooti, the Vision Centre of
Chinmaya Mission spread over 70 acres with two beautiful temples – one of Lord Hanuman
at the entrance and one of Lord Ganapati at the top.

On 1st May a satsang was held at Smt. Kishori David’s house in the memory of her husband. Varsha Dalal spoke on Mrityorma Amritam. Everyone was engrossed and enjoyed the talk which lasted for nearly two hours. 2 people were interested to join classes. It was very well attended. There were about 45 people. Dinner was served thereafter.

On 1st May, all the chapters of Bhagawad Gita were chanted at the residence of Mrs. Pushpa Mehta, Bandra. Her daughter organised the event to celebrate her mother’s 81st birthday, on the same day. The chanting was followed by bhajans and concluded with Gita Aarti and Gurudev’s Aarti.

On 30th April, the class of Smt. Aditi Agarwalla at Churchgate was hosted by Swati Shetye. Of the 10 members that attended, there were a couple who were new and not part of the class. Smt. Shruti Somani, speaker for the day, highlighted the significance of a Guru, in an interactive session, through which she shed light on various aspects of a ' Realized Master' in depth and with great clarity.

After Invocatory prayers, the sevika, Smt. Mangala Panchapakesan spoke on the life of Adi Sankara. Through PPT and story-telling, she captured the imagination of her audience. Kanakadhara stotram, Ganga stotram, Totakashtakam and Bhaja Govindam were chanted.

Of the 18 that attended, there were many invitees who were new and not part of the class. Smt. Shruti Somani, speaker for the day, highlighted the significance of a Guru in an interactive session.

Smita Tapuriah hosted 2 satsangs at her residence, on Saturday 27th, April and Sunday 28th April, in remembrance of her recently departed mother in law. The attendees chanted 6 chapters of the Bhagavad Geeta, consecutively at each satsang. The chanting led by Smt. Vibha Mittal, was for the sadgati for the departed soul.

Workshop on Face it or Fear it at Chinmaya Varashree
Yuvaveer Prashanti conducted a workshop on ‘Face it or Fear it’ for 30 children aged 12 to 15 years. Sevikas Archana Natraj, Manjiri Lavakare and Nisha Parekh helped co-ordinate the session. The session started with the kids sharing what they feared.

On the occasion of Shree Hanuman Jayanti on Friday,19 April,'19, 150 devotees participated in Puja and chanting of Shree Hanuman Chalisa from 8 am. to 6pm. New comers were enchanted and looking forward to attend upcoming Festival Celebrations at Chinmaya Sagar. For us it is not a mere event to accomplish but an opportunity to learn and live every minute with Yagna bhavana - team spirit; to make an effort to reverberate every heart with HIS name.

On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on 19th April, Chinmaya Bhakti Zone organized one-day Bala Vihar camp for the little Hanumans. 47 children joined the camp, ranging from 5 to12 years. The camp started with ice-breakers, where the children got to know each other and they interacted enthusiastically. Post ice-breaker, a story session was conducted by Yuvaveers in which the children got to know how Curious, Brave and Charming Hanumanji was, at a young age.
