GURU SMARAN SAPTAH DAY 7 Session 10

Cuffe Parade Class.

As part of the week- long celebration of our Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s 104th birth anniversary, Manju Malkani’s Cuffe Parade Class had a wonderful session dedicated to Gurudev.

The class started by chanting the Guru Stotram, followed by watching a few video clips of Gurudev's talks.

A few take away lessons that the class got were:

* Our need for urgency towards our goal to seek the highest truth should be as if our house is on fire

* A Guru is not a physical entity

* His teachings and qualities are what we need to follow and imbibe.

*You don’t need to seek a Guru. He will find you when you are ready to receive him, like a bee gets drawn to a fragrant flower that opens itself to it.

*Purify your mind with right knowledge and selfless Seva.

* Ask the Guru only relevant questions relating to study of scriptures and Sadhanas.

* He will undoubtedly clarify them even if he has to repeat himself any number of times.

There the class chanted the 108 names of Gurudev and spoke in detail about four of his names and the related qualities of Gurudev.

At the end of the session the class felt deep gratitude to Pujya Gurudev, who has brought this timeless knowledge to us and given us the opportunity to study it on a regular basis through our study classes conducted by the Chinmaya Mission Sevika.
