On August 1st 2015, Br. Ved Chaitanyaji addressed around 300 students of grades 6
and 7 in Marathi on the topic of “The Importance of Guru” in New Panvel. The program
was organized by CKT Vidyalaya on the occasion of Gurupoornima. Br Vedji elaborated
on the significance of Guru Poornima. He talked about the critical role a “Guru”-
translated literally as “dispeller of darkness” plays in all our lives. A Guru dispels the
darkness of ignorance, inspires and leads the students on the path of knowledge. He
also emphasized about the qualities and traits a student should possess to make good
use of the knowledge imparted by a Guru. The students found the session to be very
enlightening and purposeful. The principal was very much impressed and requested for
more such sessions.
