After celebrating Ramanavmi on 28th March at Prerana, the Navi Mumbai devotees had a great opportunity to attend the talk in Hindi on Sampporna Ramayana by Br.Ved Chaitanya (Resident Acharya, Chinmaya Prerana, Kharghar) at Hanuman Mandir, SIES College Campus, Nerul from 29th March to 3rd April 2015.
The talk was preceded by Bhajans by different Navi Mumbai Bhajan groups .
In the six days of the Yagna, the epic Ramayana was analysed from different angles. The topic covered Valmiki Ramayana, Ramcharitamanas, Adyatma Ramayana by Bhagawan Veda Vyasa etc.
The essence of Ramayana , its Characters and what each character represented was beautifully explained by Br. Vedji.. The goodness of Lord Rama, the Vairagya of Lakshmana , the Sacrifice of Bharatha and the humility and selflessness of Shatrughna increased devotees reverence towards all the brothers. Also Satwic Ayodhya (Lord Rama and Lakshmana) could conquer Tamasic Srilanka (Ravana) only with the help of Rajasic Kishkindha ( The army of Vanaraas)
Br. Vedji explanation of the nine days war between Lord Rama and Ravana and its relevance with Dassehra was an added knowledge for the devotees
With the blessings of Lord Sri Rama and Hanumanji the yagna was a grand success. On an average there were around 70 – 80 devotees attending the talks daily.
Though the story of Ramayana was known to all, through this talk devotees gained more information and adyatmic (spiritual ) knowledge of the epic.
The devotees and the temple authorities were very happy and requested to arrange for more such talks.
