Close to 30 devotees gathered together for Chanting and a Bhajan Sandhya at the Chinmaya Jayam centre to celebrate the auspicious month of Ashadha with reverence and devotion.
Event Highlights:
1. Beloved deities of Pandharpur - Vithoba and Rukmini were placed at the altar and adorned with tulsi garlands and floral offerings.
2. Soulful chanting of the divine names of Lord Vishnu through the Vishnu Sahasranamam
3. Rhythmic singing of Adi Shankaracharya Ji's poetic composition of Pandurang Ashtakam in praise of Lord Panduranga.
4. Abhangas, devotional bhajans & Aarti by the bhaktas.
5. Chanting of the verses from the Bhagavad Gita Chapter 15 under the guidance of our sevikas.
6. Traditional Indian sweets and savouries as prasad.
On this auspicious day, the Chinmaya Jayam centre reverberated with holy chants, devotional singing, clangs and bells, all of which were very well received. The devotees were overwhelmed with bhakti bhava.
Our Sevikas also welcomed a few newcomers and introduced them to the Chinmaya culture and traditions. Special requests were made to our committee to organize such events more often in the coming future.
