Ramani Uncle, an ardent follower of Sanātana Dharma and our very own in-house Panditji,
along with his family - deeply devoted to Carnatic music and spiritual pursuits - invited Maa
Mahalakshmi to their abode on this special day, which also happened to be their daughter,
Vidya’s birthday. The entire family came together joyfully to welcome Jagat Mata. Young Tijil
was especially enthusiastic and actively participated in every step, right from arranging the altar.
The Pooja commenced with invocation prayers. Radhika gave a brief introduction about the TLP
and Prerana Mahalakshmi Temple after which Suchitra explained the meaning of the
Mahalakshmi Ashtakam. This was followed by collective chanting of the Ashtakam eleven times
and the Hanuman Chalisa by all the assembled members. Being a Friday, sacred for Devi, the
group also chanted the Lalita Sahasranama Stotram.
For Rajaopachar, devotional songs were rendered beautifully by young Tijil and other family
members—making it a unique three-generation offering. It was sweet, divine, and filled the
atmosphere with bliss.
