  • Bala Vihar celebrates RAMA NAVAMI

    Bala Vihar children led by their sevika, Sarika Pherwani, celebrated Rama Navami at the Mahim centre. All came prepared to speak on which character from Ramayana they identified with the most and why. All children and parents did likita japa of Sri Rama’s name.   • Little Heart Nursery

    The Mahima zone Shishuvihar team celebrated Shivaratri at Little Heart nursery in Matunga. The children were taught the symbols of Shiva, followed by Bhajans, and the Abhisheka on the Shivalinga. They also played the action game on the symbols of Shiva. Mar 31, 2019

  • Bala Vihar - Sagar

    Rajasthani Mahila Mandal runs an NGO called Nandan to empower the lives of slum kids. Since the last four years, Bala Vihar Sevikas from Chinmaya Mission South Mumbai have been imparting the knowledge of Indian culture and traditions to these children.   • Devi Group Visit to Chinmaya Vibhooti

  • Shivaratri celebration at Chinmaya Varashree by Shishuvihar team

    The Mahima zone Shishuvuhar team celebrated Maha Shivaratri on 1st March 2019 at Chinmaya Varashree. The event was attended by 12 toddler and their mothers. The children were welcomed with clicking the pictures at the photo booth with the background of Mount Kailash. Mar 1, 2019

    Shishu Vihar celebrated Mahashivaratri at Chinmaya Varashree. The event was attended by twelve toddlers and their mothers, who participated with prayers and bhajans. There was story-telling with the help of puppets very creatively made by the sevikas. Mar 1, 2019

  • Sri Sankara Mattham Shloka Competition Matunga

    Shlokas are the root of Hindu culture. Twelve Bala Vihar children from Mahima zone, 7 to 12 years old, participated in the chanting of shlokas – Guru Ashtakam, Lingaashtakam and Meenakshi Pancharatnam. They were from the classes of Mangalaji, Vijayaji and Jayashriji. Jan 6, 2019

  • Geeta Jayanti Celebration Bala Vihar - Junior Group

    Children came in colourful traditional dresses. After invocation prayers, sevika Vijaya narrated the story of Pandavas and Kauravas and the Kurukshetra war.
