GURU SMARAN SAPTAH Day 1

GURU SMARAN SAPTAH Day 1 May 3rd 2021

Sevika: Vibha Mittal

Class: Monday- on Zoom

Attendees: 10- full attendance

Highlights: The class started with invocation and Guru Stotram, followed by each student sharing her inspiration from Gurudev’s diary ”My trek through Uttarakhand”.

Our takeaway from the reflections .

•Pursue your goal with single pointed determination undeterred by the hardships you may encounter.

•Find your communion with nature; it can lead to bliss Absolute.

•Gurudev says” so again we feel his grace”. Conveying that we are not the doer.

•”Prayer alone can give courage”.

•” Faith alone is one’s protection”.

• Satsang , japa and meditation should form an integral part of our life.

Gurudev’s diary is in itself a pilgrimage for us seekers . We can actually incorporate even a part of it into our lives, we will be blessed!

The class then chanted 108 names of Pujya Gurudev, followed by the singing of guru paduka stotram, with each student singing 1 verse. The altar was prepared and Pujya Gurudev’s Aarti was performed by Jayshree Jindal.

The celebration was concluded with chanting of Gurudev’s pledge in the Masters voice and ended with the finishing shlokas. The entire class felt extremely inspired , humbled and motivated to take upon the path enlightened by their beloved Gurudev .

Summary

The book is a pilgrimage that teaches us all aspects of life.. surrender, faith, peace, joy , pain, japa, admiring nature, experiencing bliss, seeing God’s grace in everything, contentment, enthusiasm .

Yatra is means to self-purification only if you have the capacity & wish to experience, to see Brahman in everything, realise that prayer alone can give one courage, that pain alone turns us away from sense pleasures, that faith is one’s own protection.

Dhyana gives peace and satisfaction. Never lose a chance to do japa , always keep a unbroken Brahma vichara, realise how Satsang & japa give us immense satisfaction.
