Sevikas: Darshana Kadakia, Shruti Somani, Vinita Asrani Swamiji addressed about 20 to 22 members of four Study Groups, at the residence of the Mariwalas, Breach Candy. There is doubt in the understanding of God - Who created God? Why is there suffering in spite of Him? Is He an energy? Why have dualism if we are to anyway understand Aham Brahmasmi? What is the evidence of God? Why pray? How do we remember Him? It was a session that required a lot of focus, as Swamiji took us through the logic, step by step. A key takeaway was regarding the confusion of why is there duality in God, when there is only One Truth and why does Vedanta create this. Swamiji explained that duality exists for us at our current level of evolution, whether we study or not, whether we believe in God or not. Due to our ignorance, we already feel separate from everything else. Vedanta is not teaching duality. It teaches how to see beyond many names and forms to recognise Divinity. Thus, satsang is a golden opportunity to understand; from the basics of cause and effect, to a deeper understanding of who the doer is, behind everything.
