R. A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics arranged for a talk on Digital Addiction and Cyber-bullying, delivered eloquently by Dr. Sunitha Shanker, President, Mahima zone. After commencing with a prayer, she started the talk by asking the audience if the Internet is, in fact, a boon or bane and received mixed responses. She spoke of the hazards of constantly exposing oneself to the mobile phone, at the body level and the hazards of cyber-bullying, at a mental level. She explained how constant use of mobiles could be psychologically damaging. Many years of association with the Mission, as CHYK member, then secretary, as zonal president and as a true Vedantic seeker, she was able to successfully communicate with the audience. Students and teachers expressed interest in attending more such lectures. The event concluded with felicitation of participants.
